Enjoyable Day @ Humourous Speech and Evaluation Contest

Dear Contestants, Supporters, Appointment Holders, and Visitors,
Toastmasters@Hope Humourous Speech and Evaluation Contests were a resounding success this morning. This was only possible because each and everyone of you came to support TM@Hope in one way or another - as contestant, appointment holder, or simply being there in the audience cheering the contestants on. Without you, there can be no contest.

As the Organising Chair and President of TM@Hope, I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for displaying the Toastmasters spirit of support, unity, and helpfulness.

Congratulations to Michael Lau for winning both categories. He will be representing Toastmasters@Hope at our Area A4 Contests to be held on Sat, 17 Sep 2011, 1.30pm at AIA Changi. Come and support him and bring your friends and family members along.

Here are the results of the Contests:

Humourous Speech Contest:

Champion - Michael Lau
1st Runner-Up - Catherine Goh

Speech Evaluation Contest:

Champion - Michael Lau
1st Runner-Up - Richard Wong
2nd Runner-Up - Murni Ningsih

My congratulations to all contestants for stepping forward to contest. You are all winners too for overcoming the stress and nervousness to compete, displaying resilience, and setting an example for the new members. Thank you for entertaining us and giving us a morning of laughters.

Please take note that we will not be having our usual Chapter meeting on Sat, 17 Sep 11, as we want to support Michael that day at the Area A4 Contests. Thus, our next Chapter meeting is on Sat, 1st Oct 2011, at 10.15am at Changi Bethany Church / Hope Presbyterian Church.

Thank you one and all and have a wonderful, blessed weekend.

Warmest Regards,

Catherine Goh
