Fellow Toastmasters at Hope,We are organizing an in-house Speechcraft as an educational programme to enable our members at Hope to learn the skills in communications, to become better and confident speakers.These sessions are conducted on the third Saturday of the month of July, Aug, Sep and Oct. It is integrated into our chapter meeting, thus members will continue to present their prepared speeches and take up roles appointments.
For the coming 17th July meetings, we have Coen Tan to share with us on Handling Table Topics. He is our Topics Master for the Day. Yvonne Tan will Unpack the Competent Communicator Manual, giving an overview of the Ten projects, and proceed to explain how to prepare the first three projects. We have three visiting toastmasters from Toa Payoh Central and we can hear three prepared speeches for the morning - especially those who have not delivered their Ice Breaker and those who have just done so.
For August, the focus will be on How to Say it- use of words and devices to convey our message.and How to introduce a speaker For September, the theme will be on Dynamic Delivery and Effective Evaluation of Prepared speech. In October, the Toastmasters educational programmewill be introduced for members to decide what when and howto implement them in our club for our learning and growth.
